ARCHITETTURE EFFIMERE

 

Oggi, gli Archi di Pane sono vere e proprie architetture effimere che, spesso, riproducono opere architettoniche esistenti: le due grandi Affacciate, alte più di dieci metri, i due Viali contrapposti lungo il corso principale del paese e i due archi trionfali compongono queste strutture originali. Le due facciate rappresentano l’ingresso di una chiesa, i viali sono le navate, gli archi sono le absidi. Porticati, cupole, volte, rosoni, fontane, quadri musivi e decorazioni sono gli elementi plastici e figurativi che rendono unici gli Archi. Ogni anno i maestri d’arte si cimentano nella realizzazione di queste strutture, sperimentando sempre idee nuove e progetti originali. I materiali utilizzati, per ricoprire la struttura in ferro, sono tutti naturali e vengono raccolti durante i mesi di preparazione: le canne di fiume costituiscono la base portante, a queste sono intrecciati rami di salice, di alloro e di rosmarino. 

 

 

EPHEMERAL ARCHITECTURES

 

Today, the Arches of Bread are veritable ephemeral architectures that often reproduce existing architectural works: the two big Facades, high more over ten meters, the two Boulevards, opposed along the village main street and the two triumphal arches make up these original structures. The two facades represent the entrance of a church, the boulevards are the aisles and the arches are the apses. Colonnades, domes, vaults, rose windows, fountains, mosaic paintings and decorations are plastic and figurative elements that make unique the Arches. Every year, Masters of Art test themselves in the creation of these structures creating new ideas and original projects. All materials, used to cover the iron structure, are natural and they are harvested during the preparation months: river canes constitute the bearing base and they are interlaced with willow, laurel and rosemary branches.
